whole number system is made up only nine numbers (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) and a zero (0). all these numbers which have one as the first digit, followed by zeros are called bases.

Example:

suppose number 98. it is closer to 100 then the complement of 98 is 100-98=2 2 is complementof 98

Sutra will also used "All from nine and last from ten"

use these sutra then we will fin out the complements of any numbers

Example:

745

Step1:   10-5=5
Step2:     9-4=5
Step3:     9-7=2

so complement of 745 is 255
